Yvette Zavala was born on February 17th, 1991 in Chicago, IL to Mexican immigrants. Growing up, Yvette loved watching movies and television. Particularly, she would watch Disney movies, PBS shows such as Sesame Street or Thomas the Tank Engine, Tom and Jerry and many more. Once she started school, she continued this love of entertainment and loved art class. Art and film was Yvette's greatest escape from reality. It was when she was in fourth grade that she wanted to pursue a career in animation. This obsession would continue throughout middle and high school. When she was 16 years old, a little movie called Kill Bill changed her life. It was at that point she decided to pursue filmmaking all together whether it be live action or animated.

Yvette graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College in 2013. During her time at Emerson, she worked on several student film productions and experimented with all aspects of film. Her favorite roles are directing, producing, writing, and once in awhile she'll be on screen. She studied in the prestigious FAMU in Prague in the summer of 2011. She finished her college career by interning at Martin Chase Productions as a development intern.

These days, Yvette spends her time continuing to hone her craft along with getting her hands dirty both career and outside of career. Her hobbies include: running, drawing, reading, watching movies, talking about movies, and traveling.
